Living P2P ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you also agree to our Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

• Email address (for account authentication)
• Display name (optional, for personalization)
• Financial data you enter (expenses, income, budgets, payment plans)
• App usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

How Your Data Is Stored

• Your financial data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage.
• A backup copy syncs to Google Firebase (Firestore) secured with per-user authentication rules.
• Sensitive fields (such as account numbers) are stored in the iOS Keychain, not in regular storage.
• We use Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized access to our backend.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core app functionality (expense tracking, budgeting, financial insights)
• To sync your data across sessions
• To improve app stability and performance via anonymized crash reports
• To understand aggregate usage patterns via anonymized analytics

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We use Firebase services (Google) for authentication, data storage, analytics, and crash reporting. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of this data.

We do not share your financial data with any third party. Your expense, income, and budget data is accessible only to you through your authenticated account.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Correction: Update or correct your personal information within the App.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
• Opt-out: Disable analytics collection via your device settings.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@livingp2p.com. Upon receiving a deletion request:

• All Firestore data associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Local device data is removed when you uninstall the App.
• Anonymized analytics and crash data cannot be attributed to you and may be retained.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Firebase Authentication for all data access
• iOS Data Protection (NSFileProtectionComplete)
• Encrypted local storage
• PII masking in all application logs
• Firebase App Check (App Attest) to prevent unauthorized API access
• Per-user Firestore security rules — users can only access their own data

Children's Privacy

Living P2P is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will delete that data promptly.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact support@livingp2p.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where practicable, providing notice within the App.
